Dear Members of the Lehigh Saengerbund,

I would like to thank all those members who attended the election on Friday, November 18, 2011. Congratulations to all elected officers and thank you to the members for your nominations in the elections and to Mark Miller, Roy Hoenisch and Carlo Strack of the Nominating Committee for handling the nominations and the election process.

New challenges lie ahead. The Bylaws Committee has been working on updating the Lehigh Sangerbund documents. In addition to this process, past minutes have been collected and are in the process of being organized. A protocol is also being worked on in order for members of the LSB to understand the procedures for obtaining LSB information.

My hopes and ambitions are to continue to increase the membership and provide fun, cultural events throughout the upcoming year, encourage membership participation and to continue to support our LSB Chorus. The hope is positively focusing the LSB forward by addressing our Vision and Mission and addressing our core values.

I have created an LSB email address to which Lehigh Sangerbund correspondence can be sent. Please do not send correspondence to my home email. My home email address is used by my family. The LSB mail box would allow all important information to come into one location, so hopefully nothing is overlooked. Your positive feedback, ideas and information are encouraged.

Also, please note, the date and time change for the December’s Members’ Meeting. The Member’s meeting scheduled for December 16, 20ll, will be moved to Monday, December 12, 2011 at 6:30 p.m., due to the holiday season. Your understanding is appreciated for I am sure everyone is busy with getting ready for the holidays, as well attending holiday festivities.
